Gilded in 24-carat gold, a mature goat, a young goat and a baby goat stand out against the silver of the 2027 Year of the Goat 1oz Silver Gilded Coin from The Perth Mint. They graze beneath a plum blossom tree, a symbol of purity, resilience and hope.

Together the three goats express the auspicious phrase ‘Three Goats Bring Bliss’, celebrating the end of winter, the renewal of spring and prosperous new beginnings. The design also features the Chinese character for ‘Goat’, the inscription ‘GOAT 2027’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

The Goat takes eighth place in the Chinese zodiac, and those born in Goat years, also known as the Year of the Sheep, are said to be gentle and creative. A full 1oz silver coin with gold highlights, it makes a generous Chinese New Year gift and a standout Perth Mint silver coin for lunar collectors.
