A young goat leaps across rocky ground, flowering plants at its feet and a mountain rising behind. The Baby Goat 2027 1/2oz Silver Proof Coloured Coin from The Perth Mint captures the playful energy of a new arrival, making it a meaningful newborn keepsake for babies born in the Year of the Goat.

The lunar Year of the Goat runs from 6 February 2027 to 25 January 2028. Babies born in this time are said to share the goat’s artistic flair, compassion and courage.

The coloured reverse also features the Chinese character for ‘goat’, the inscription ‘YEAR OF THE GOAT’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. The obverse carries Jody Clark’s effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, with the coin’s weight, fineness, denomination and 2027 year-date.

A silver proof coin made to mark a birth, it is a thoughtful christening or baptism gift, and a keepsake that lasts well beyond the early years.
