Hello Kitty and My Melody share a sweet and enduring friendship dating back to the 1970s, making My Melody one of Hello Kitty's earliest friends. Hello Kitty is warm and friendly, while My Melody is gentle and kind and loves baking and caring for others. Shown together across many Sanrio stories and designs, their long-standing friendship is built on kindness, trust and shared joy — making them a beloved pair for fans around the world.

The coloured reverse portrays Hello Kitty in her pink overalls and iconic red bow with My Melody in her signature red hood, one ear folded down in a cute and playful way, set against a background of dots, with the inscriptions 'HELLO KITTY', 'MY MELODY' and ©2026 SANRIO. The uncirculated aluminium bronze coin is housed in a beautifully designed card with a circular window revealing both the reverse and obverse designs.
